RUN to your closest independent Saab mechanic and get his opinion. The only thing Saab dealer service departments know how to do is misdiagnose, overcharge and never fix what was actually broken. Why do they think the flywheel's gone?? Have you worn the clutch past the rivets?? (if so, I would think that the car would be immobile by this time). I'd get a second opinion before I'd plunk that sort of money into ANY newer car (unless I was modifying it to go faster.)
I don't know where you live, but there's got to be an alternative to the dealer.
