I too have a Warranty Gold policy, new diamaond plan, 5/100 (meaning 5 years from date of purchase or 100K total miles). I still have some life left in my plan, as I'm only at 88K, with about a year to go. The WG plan has paid for a LOT of repairs to my car, so I feel that I got my money's worth. WG has always been good to work with.
The bad news - WG's middleman who assesses and authorizes repairs is Chapter 11. WG cannot process claims without their middleman, so everything is in limbo right now. I don't know if they'll fix this problem before my plan expires, but luckily I have no major repais pending right now.
The (kinda) good news - if you have a WG policy, your contract is with them, not the middleman (NWIG), so you may cancel your contract and get a pro-rated refund. I did this with my wife's car (2001 VW GTI) and am getting 80% of my money back on a 7/100K policy (which I got at a discount in the first place).
Of course, there is no mention of the problem on the WG website.
