...consider the following points (semi-spoilery...so fair warning...)



1) She has been scavenging parts from ships for a long time and seems to have prior experience with droids and mechanical hacking
2) She claims to be a good pilot so she has experience flying different ships and apparently modded a few (possibly older ones and the Falcon is quite old with tech she mentions she has worked with before)
3) She exhibits innate Force ability (although she has not mastered it yet), further advanced than Luke's when he started. It is stated that Luke had been training Jedi, but left when Kylo Ren turned. Rey was "left" on the planet by "family" she is waiting for to return. Seems highly probable she could have been a young Jedi in training who was rescued and "hidden".
