Truly, this movie was of the theatre of the absurd. Campy satire. Naturally, I liked it a lot! Funniest line uttered by the protagonist, in response to a criminal who wanted to kill him: "If you want to kill me, you'd better hurry, because I'm 100 years old."
Commenting on an observation by "Ken", as far as I could surmise there wasn't a single Saab in the entire film. It appears to be standard practice in the film industry to get cars comp'ed by the manufacturer in exchange for screen time and a credit at the end. This explains why the post-2012 Wallander episodes (Swedish and UK) switched from Saab to Volvo for all new cars.
