I like the 3M fine scratch remover for dark colored cars -- I use that with the 3M Hand Glaze and P21S as a Carnuba Wax for the top coat. I also think highly of the Zaino products. Both my cars are dark - black and lightening blue.
You also might want to try one good wash to see if you can get your current effort to look better. My car seems to shine best after the first wash post wax - not sure why....
Overall Zymol is not a bad product. I used it for several years, but I have grown to love the 3M, P21S, and Zaino products. Klasse AIO is also a top notch product that makes any car look good.
