Zymol talk - warning: opinions inside

Its not the products are "faux naturale" (my terminology), its the sense of the benefits of natural products that Zymol promotes which is fake, IMO. The idea that wax should be applied by hand - literally - is silly; as much a marketing scheme than anything. Modern clearcoated paints do not have pores and do not need "feeding and conditioning" with all the crazy stuff Zymol puts into their products, like almond meal, avocado oil, coconut oil, and all the rest.
But I do agree Zymol does a fantastic job of selling car care elitism to those who have a burning desire to one-up their friends in the wax wars. Nothing will blow away everyone more than watching you apply your $1650 Vintage wax using your bare hands while extolling the virtues of honeydew oil and evergreen oil lovingly rubbed onto the Franay-bodied '47 Bentley that Vintage was developed for. And they'll all be mightily impressed with the Lucite storage container and the lifetime free refills. What a value!!!
I'm not saying the products don't work or are worthless. Every day I learn a little more about car care products. And every day I realize there are many products out there that will outperform Zymol for a fraction of the cost.
