just be sure you have your service records to prove the low mileage, and if you have pictures, that' too. If not, see if you can cajole (bribe) your service shop that most recently saw the car to write a letter describing the condition. Go to the "Cartalk" web site, where they have the "black book" retail lisitngs, much higher than blue book or edmunds, and print out the price range, and then fight with your insurance co for maximum payout.
I agree that you should try the threatening letter - if they accept liability they'll pay better than your own co., but you have to decide what your time is worth. You can't collect legal fees on a lawsuit, and there isn't enough book value there to pay for litigation (unless your Degas etchings went up with the car)
