The copy worked better on the radio. I believe that their agency just took the TV spots and fluffed them for the flash demo rather than creating a solid flash brochure for the web.
Addressing the copy points( turbocharging, turbo lag, high torque, handling, etc.) without supporting them with tangible stats is pretty weak in this medium, whether you're going for the car enthusiast target in their "house" email list or web surfers doing some comparison shopping. Might as well have shown just the TV spots.
I would have at least put in HP, Torque, 0-60 times, mpg, etc. "Where's the beef?" Or is Saab slowly morphing into the cooking variety Saturn? Watch Ford clobber Saab with their new Volvo 60 series sedan. Hell, a key copy point on the Lincoln LS is 6.4 sec zero to 60. Saab must get more aggressive in proving to people that these cars are fast in normal driving. Show some 30-50, 50-70 head to head comparisons against BMW 3's and get people to pay attention. Unsupported talk is cheap.
