The post http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/general/index.html?bID=102996 above has a good picture of the interior. Looks to me like Pontiac is getting better about ergonomics (the dash lighting is still "stress red" though). But the plastics look like the same cheezy plastics that Generic Motors has been using for waaaaaaaaay too long. I had a Sunfire. Looked good, ran okay, looked cheezy (don't ask - severe buyers remorse after a few months). The plastics are thin and shiny, don't match, and scratch easily. The cloth materials are cheap (I hate cars that make you feel like you are in a rental car).
Last weekend, my dad came to town - he rented the usual Avis Oldsmobuick. One of the things I noticed most about that car was how nasty the plastics were and (don't laugh) how the trunk makes this gawdawful "thwack" followed by a license plate rattle. Now compare to when you close the trunk (or a door) on your Saab. GM has a LOT of learning to take in from Saab still. I won't own a US-sourced GM anytime soon.
