I'm from Dover (seacoast), and there are certainly some entertaining trips over that part of the state. To and from Nashua there is a rather uneventful drive up 3 to 93 North, but from thereafter it really opens up with all the White Mountains, the Notch, and the Winnipesaukee lakes region. The driving on 93 after exit 25 or so really becomes fun, with great views and fast, long corners. If you decide to do Mt. Washington, know that the hike is fairly challenging and you will have to drive at least 1 and half hours AFTER Nashua to get there. You really will have to leave early, I'd say be done in Nashua by 9 or 10. I'd recommend the Tuckerman Ravine Trail, its 3 miles max ea. way and is by far the most popular (for good reason). Its definitley doable in a day and I'd really recommend it especially if the weather is nice, as the views are spectacular. I've done it as a day trip both summer and winter (at Tuckerman's Ravine) back and forth to Dover, I was fine. You will be tired going back to Worcester that night though the SAAB really will keep you alert with some Turbo-inspired fun. If you do a weekend, think about incorporating the famous Kangamangus (sp?) Highway , its exit 32 on 93 (past Loon Ski), and quite possibly one of the best "driving" roads in New England.
There are plenty of us NH saabnet'ers here, anyone else?
Enjoy, hope that was helpful!
