I bet that would work - kitty would think that the car had been "marked" by a larger cat and would stay away.
I understand that tigerpee(tm) is available at all the finer boutiques. Of course eau de catpiss is sooooo out this year - it may make you seem gauche amongst, you know, the better people. Perhaps a bare electical wire would be a less obstrusive way of dealing with the pest.
