Funny thing-My C900 has excellent modern 15" tires and takes my reference cloverleaf at the same 45mph as my Viggen with 17" Potenzas. I think handling is limited by the NG900 or 9-3 suspension whereas the C900 has terrific suspension stability. So, I'm not impressed with the handling of 17" in general.

On the other hand, the 15" tires can be run over curbs, kids, etc. with little complication, whereas a small bump can bottom out the 17"'s. My first memorable event with the viggen was finding a pothole that exactly matched the tire patch. The tire bottomed out, spread the sidewall, and the wheel edge sliced the sidewall aginst the edge of the pothole. Flaaaat.

I'm getting over it, but I am not yet sold on the virtues of low profile tires, except they of cours look cool.
