There is no more space in most SUV's than there is in a wagon. The only advantage in an SUV is the four wheel drive option (now available on many cars. There is a lot less space in an SUV than in a MiniVan... but they are just not as "cool" as SUV's. 4WD is good if you are an off roader..no argument there - but is no better in winter conditions - I'd take ABS & TCS before 4WD any day. I laugh whenever I see SUV's in the ditch during the snow... they end up their dis-preportionately.

They guzzle gas like no tomorrow... can you believe that the H2 had the lowest JD Power score of all NA cars - because the owners complained about poor mileage! They are a hazard to everyone else driving & they obstruct visibility for others (so the drivers can see over other cars. They are the most profitable vehicles for the car makers because people are willing to pay so much more for less - in order to be cool.

But hey .. we are in free countries... but given all these facts if you want to drive one ...keep on truckin.
