This may be the one that sonett43 is referring to above. AJ Foreign Auto is near Wegmans. I learned the hard way with them. After making an appointment with them a week ahead of time, it took them two weeks just to look at it. They had my car for 3 weeks to do pads and rotors, and a steering rack. They screwed up the steering rack ($1200 repair) which I found out after I left Ithaca for the summer. It was only some loose bolts, but it was a serious chafe.

I was stupid enough to bring it back to them a second time for a bunch of fluid changes and a flew pipe, and they had it for 1.5 weeks. With and appointment.

I think they are also fairly expensive given their crappy service and dirty garage. I don't remember their labor rate.

I don't have any experience with Pellegrino. I do know that his shop is very out of the way from campus.

On the brighter side, if you have a Volvo, I can't say enough good things about Ithaca Foreign Car, on State Street. They sell and service used Volvos, and they are EXCELLENT. Curteous, fast and very fair pricing.
