I AM a Saab owner and enthusiast.... It never even occured to me I would be excluded from the event because I don't wish to enter a car in the show. I don't feel the car is show-worthy, so I thought I could just attend the event as a spectator.....guess not.

The SOC website did not specificly state walk-ins are not permitted (or did I miss that?). Which coincidentally, led me to delay registering....
And unfortunately, I didn't find the SOC board on Saabnet until today.... Now it all makes sense.

I now understand the SOC organizers had to comply with the requirements of the host hotel, which led to the required meal costs, lack of spectator parking, etc. Perhaps next year SOC will be able to accomodate day trippers, enthusiasts without show cars, and Saab owners on a budget....
It sounds like a great event, hope everyone has a great time....and post some pics for us! Maybe next year....
