OT: Having problems with Welchia Worm virus? Posted by andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery] (more from andy) on Fri, 12 Sep 2003 07:52:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I kept getting a denial of service message when I tried to log in today and had to reset the account with my ISP. When i finally connected, I got a Norton antivirus message about the Welchia Worm, which apparantly exploits problems left over from the blaster virus of a few weeks ago. When I run Norton antivirus, it says cannot access file. My ISP had some downtime a week ago, said it was a haedware issue, now I wonder if it was the blaster virus and I get it from them. Well, its off to Symantec's site I guess.
I don't keep addresses in the Explorer address book because of the exploitations, but my Palm Hot Sync file is on this machine, can a worm access those e mail addresses?
Thanks
