With my deepest sympathies for my fellow ATL Saabers, Go Cubbies! I live two blocks from Wrigley Field, so I got to participate in the madness that was the celebration last night. In the top of the 9th inning police began to block off Clark street and when the Cubs won the game, all the bars emptied and everyone congregated at the home plate entrance of Wrigley Field. We wanted to see what was going on, so my roommates and I took the 2 block walk to check it out. Everyone was singing and chanting and having a lot of fun. We only stayed for 15 minutes, but it was fun to see everyone having fun. The cops let it go on for 2 hours before clearing the streets, but people didn't stop honking in front of my house until 2am.

My fingers are now crossed for the Red Sox. My dream series might still be possible.
