My last three company cars were Dodge Grand (Sport) Caravans. 30K miles/year each for two years. Not one day in the shop for mechanicals. Just some fit/finish stuff typical for US built cars.
I loved them. They handled very well, more car-like than FUV's. Biggest surprise was how nicely they handled in New Jersey winters.
I could have bought my '03 version (7K mi) for $16K when I retired. But, you know....
These days, when on judging assignments away from home, I'm invariably picked up at the airport by a lady in a mini-van with dog crates in back. My first question is always, "So, how do you like your mini-van?" They LOVE them. So, since they're all great, it'll probably come down to color for your wife. My picks:
4th place: Windstar
3rd: Dodge/Chrysler
2nd: Odyssey
Best of breed: Toyota Sienna ('04)
Best in Show: '04 Arc Wagon. Why does your wife have to be the team driver? <G>
Best value: Hands down: Grand Caravan. Practically in impulse buy as an '03 leftover.
Best,
Greg
