I know how much Icould have saved, and I will take that in account for major repairs, as my indy is well, only so so...awesome on Mercs but a bit old school;-)
.....Just one of those situations....labour day Friday, belt snapped from crankshaft and tensioner failure right before the Port Mann bridge (not sure what facilitated what)...the belt was not tracking properly from the get go (before I left to Manitoba)...so in reality 7K with the pulleys on the way out isn't that bad, I'm lucky it didn't happen in the middle of Saskatchewan....
oh well....live and learn. QUite honestly, it was still my holiday that weekend, so my girlfriend and I took it in stride, and got a tow withing an hour.
it's an old car, what can one do?
