We have a 2000 9-5 base model and a 1994 9000 Aero. While the 9-5 body is quite a bit stiffer, the handling on our 9000 Aero is amazing - the car enables me to achieve one of my driving goals, to take corners without braking! Zeke is correct is that the 9000 is easier to tune for more power, and the Recaro seats are absolutely the best that I have come across. While the 9-5 is a more modern, and possibly refined vehicle, it will be eventually sold for a replacement Saab long before the keys to my 9000 are ever pried from my hands!
