Very common in Texas... But suprisingly my only hail damaged car was in Connecticut. At any rate the paintless dent repair for hail damage stuff is incredible. I remember looking at some new cars that had hail damage (some significant I was told) that had been repaired using just paintless dent repair and it was undetectable -- and I consider myself as having a good eye for that type of stuff. If you can do that over repainting the car I would recommend that. Be careful of them adding a hail damage repair to your title or car report (I have seen these on carfax) since that will lower your resale value (should it not be leased).
You will likely have to use their perferred vendor or thats the amount they will give you. If the preferred vendor says its beyond paintless dent repair they will probably look into other options. The only time you need the car repainted is when the dent/ding has broken the paint (chipped the paint). Is that the case??
