About the other method of transportation: I did mention I'm a college student (i.e: broke as a joke) and flying, or other means of tranportation would mean missing finals and throwing my entire semester's work out the window. I understand that I indeed broke the law, and am being punished more than ever thought for it (revocation and now this huge fine, and possibly being arrested).
BTW, I heard a story that gives me less faith in the judicial system last night: My friend, whjo's in the Navy had to go to court for a parking ticket. His court date happened to fall at a time when he was in Iraq this last year. Althout I'm not sure how I feel about the war in Iraq, he was fighting for (somebody's?) freedom. Upon return, he went to court only to realize there was a warrant out for him, despite his LAWYERS efforts to inform the court of his absence. At his arraignment, the judge said "That wasn't even a real war!" and my friend was put in jail fro 14 days. If this could happen to one of our own soldiers, I doubt they'd have any reserves about doing the same to me!
