Actually Mr. Saabgirlie will not "allow" me to upgrade my Saab at all. Cars are simply transportation and nothing more to him. When I decided to get new tires, I got the potenzas s-03s. He put up a stink about how much they cost, yadda yadda, but I bought them anyways. Then he put up a stink about the winter tires and wheels, but I bought them anyways. When he bought tires for the Forester, he got the cheapest ones with the highest wear rating. I spend too much money on oil changes/regualar maintenance because I drive 45min to see my indie. I wash my car more often. I usually have to take his car in for oil changes and stuff because he won't do it.

I was going to do more major upgrades to my car, but then I reconsidered. If I was working full-time, I probably would have just done it, but since I'm spending a large portion on school right now, I've toned down my purchases.....slightly.

You should be happy that your wife only demands "things that women want". I, OTOH, not only want car stuff, top of the line computer stuff, mountain biking stuff and other "guy stuff", I also want "girl stuff", like furniture, vacations and jewelry as well. I am financially very high-maintenance.

That said, until I went back to school I was making just as much $$ as Mr. Saabgirlie and hopefully after school I'll be making twice as much. :)
