Anyone else taking exmas right now? Any law schoolers out there? Just finished my first law school exam (torts). Quite an experience, I must say. 98% of the 1st years took their exams on computer today, and the school's IT department felt the pinch. Everything is done on special "lock down" software so that we can't use any other program while taking the test (such as, to search the net for answers... like we have time for that! Ha)
Our teacher decided to make life harder than necessary and gave us a word limit of 3100. When it came time to submit my answer, I had used 3089 words! Then when I hit submit (it all goes through the LAN) it gave me a totally different word count, adding nearly 100+ words. Fortunately I was among a very large group of people who had this problem, so hopefully it won't be a big deal. The professor said before the exam that she would stop reading at 3100 words, and that she would count the words! Yeah, right. She's hard-core like that, though.
I'm just happy as you-know-what to have finished one of these damn things, to get it under my belt. Now I know what the deal is, and what it takes. Very reassuring. :o)
If you try to reach me about club business (SCNA or WASSAAB Club) right now, I will probably not be able to get back to you for at least a week (2 more exams to go). I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact Jim Miller for WC business.
