I have bought in excess of 140 things on Ebay. I like it alot.
Probably the school is on vacation and the person does not have access to that email.
Two have been problematic transactions which were eventually resolved.
One, the credit card company cleaned things up after ourselves and the seller could not resolve things. We got to keep the merchandise (even though it wasn't what we'd wanted) and got a refund from the credit card company.
The other transaction, I think the seller deposited my payment, then found out that someone else was willing to pay more or he'd sold more than he had in stock and was waiting for more while stringing me along. After about a month, I tracked his company down, after being unable to get a response by email, I phoned him. After making sure he knew what auction I was talking about, I said, "What do I have to do to get this - Call the police or something?" The next day, I had the item.
Both these people put up negative feedback in retaliation to the negative feedback I posted. Not a big deal to me with that many transactions. If you value your feedback, either don't give them feedback, or wait till the 90 day feedback window is almost over before posting feedback for bad transactions. Sort of feedback sniping.
