I try to baby it until the temp gauge reaches 9:00, and keep the RPMs less than 3500 and the boost gauge out of the yellow.
Once the car is warmed, regardless of weather, I tend to shift between 4500-5000 depending on conditions. Higher if I'm in a hurry or just having fun on an open interstate.
