Yahoo!'s service is FDIC insured-PayPal's isn't. Western Union lets you pay with a credit card and send a money order to anyone. No account set-up BS, as with the 'Pal.
Seems like every time I tried to use my PayPal account I had to supply some arcane ID info. They held a $400 payment to me from an eBay sale until I filled out many web forms and answered several email messages. They're not worth the hassle.
Do a search for PayPal horror stories online, you'll find many sites critical of them.
