Well, mine was just last year. A month after picking up my 9-3SS, I decided to see some friends in Quebec, for Winter Carnavale. So I left with a buddy of mine and his g/f.
After a nice weekend, it was Monday morning, Predidents Day. The CNN news screen scrolled "Blizzard conditions in Jersey City, NJ". I think I turned white. After my Canadian friend and his chums mocked the Pirelli PZero's on the car, we headed out anyway. Got through Albany, then the snow began. Driving down the Thruway was interesting: the Pirellis began to lose grip as we peaked the mountains, with traffic behind us. Turned off the ESP and hoped for the best. Then someone - not me - needed a potty break. So I, foolishly, pull into a rest stop; immediately get stuck, and pushed my own car through the rest area while my buddy "drove". (He was too small to push). Later, we (almost) hit Jeresy. The GSP entrance off I-87 was not plowed, so we were forced over the Tappan Zee, and back over. But, on the way to the Tappan Zee, three lanes were plowed CLEAR, so we all moved at a good pace. Then, my lane was no longer plowed. My new SS was swallowed by a 6 foot snow bank at 40 mph. I drove through it, and actually received applause from the other drivers.
Finally I had a Trooper escort down the Parkway (it was closed) and got home 18 hours later - to a house with ne electricity, no heat, and almost 40" of snow.
