line is still available as well. And you are correct on the difference--see my above post in this thread for more details, but the difference is basically they are using a different compund for the LM-22s which makes them much longer lasting, much better on dry/wet, but supposedly give up a little extreme snow/ice traction.

However, it is nearly impossible to get the LM-22s to slip (this is in a quattro though as I mentioned in my earlier post)--I've only done it in an empty parking lot doing maneuvers I would never do on a public road...flooring it, then slamming on the brakes with the wheel turned sharply...and its only a momentary loss of traction. They have perfromed flawleeslly in all my real world experiences including some extreme conditions such as 7 feet of snow in 3 days, icy roads, very steep icy driveways that people couldn't even walk up, etc.

It sounds like the Nokians and a few others a very good as well, but I highly recommend the Blizzak LM-22s...so far I'm of the opinion that when these wear out (which shouldn't be for several winters from the looks of it so far) I plan on getting another set of LM-22s.
