All touring, I didn't really like racing.
Lots of club century rides all over the place when I was in college.
Central Double Century (Litchfield IL) something like 1980?
Amishland & Lakes (Howe, Indiana) probably 15 times.
Hilly Hundred (Bloomington Ind.) probably 10 times.
I think it was one year of the Hilly Hundred that I saw a Saab 99 doing sag duty, & they 'modified' the sign in their window to read 'SAAG'.
I helped with route planning for bunch of Wisconsin Wheelmen rides around 1980, like Kettle Moraine metric double century.
Helped route planning for SAAGBRAW ride across Wisconsin for a few years, when north & east routes were first done. It was a clone of RAGBRAI.
Lots of bike camping on my own in Wisconsin, UP Mich., up into Canada near Sault St. Marie, etc...
After college, gainful employment kinda gets in the way. So now I'm more of a wannabe road rider. My kids like it but they're not as hard-core as I was.
