IMO, accountability is THE most prevalent issue in our society. So much is geared towards getting ahead at any cost, and no matter if is at the expense of others. We see this in political officials, Super Bowl half time shows, Corporate leaders, dog owners, irresponsible drivers. But a different story when these folks get caught at something, it is always unintentional, somebody else's fault, i knew nothing about those slimy deals, i got bad intelligence from those guys, etc.
Make the kid and his mother be accountable to the fullest extent allowed by the courts. If it was the mother's car and her insurance, you are likely in good standing to get everything you deserve.
I usually just soapbox about the Saab DI, must not be many failures happening of late.
