The indie I use for my wife's Exploder has driven cars with the lugs loosened to break them loose after all else failed.
I had a GTI and a Volvo 940 Turbo wagon that always seemed to seize up at least one alloy to the hub. The 940 was really bad about this. I used to loosen the lugs about 1/3 or the way, then put the car back on the ground and rock it sideways. After a while it would break loose. Real PITA.
Now I put some WD or anti-seize on the mounting faces. Seems to help, but there's always a surprise working on cars.
Good luck.
