I financed my new 9-5 last year through Capitol One. The rate was fantastic, 4.25% for a 5 year loan. It's also really convenient. You apply online, telling them what car(s) you're shopping for and what the maximum possible amount of the loan could be. They'll notify you the same day if you qualify.
When you qualify, they'll send you a no-commitment "blank check", good for up to the amount you told them. When you buy the car, you fill the check out for the amount you want to borrow, and sign it over to the dealer. When they process the check, Capitol One activates the loan for the amount you put on the check at the terms you were qualified for.
In my case I got a check that was good for $37,000, but only wrote it for whatever the balance was after adding all the taxes & stuff minus my downpayment. Super easy.
