You can get by with a visual inspection if the bend is obvious, but actually taking the wheels off and putting them on a balancing machine shows you things like out-of-round conditions and demonstrates exactly where the bend is. Sometimes it's obvious & sometimes not; the balancer will show you where adding weights will balance the wheel. Sometimes that's enough to correct the vibration you mentioned. Also putting the best condition wheels on the front of the car reduces vibrations.
Otherwise, you can get them straightened, or just replace them.
With the number and depth of potholes here in DC area, Viggen rims are sitting ducks. :o( My rims are even softer than yours, and my right rear has a nice huge bend in it now that everyone will see at Carlisle. :o(
