The way it used to work - the Palm desktop would/could have a pulldown to select which user was going to be sysn's. I've shared the same desktop with two different Palm Vs and I was able to switch back and forth. The unit itself has it's ID though - If you want to use hers as yours I think you need to do the hard reset - just back it up first.
