That gas station is on the corner of Middlefield Rd and Willow and always has the highest prices of any gas station in the entire bay area. However, this photo was taken last summer, I believe when crude was at around $34/barrell. Now with it over $40, it was no problem for me to snap a shot at the Chevron on Marsh which has prices in line with most other gas stations.. The price in the image below was during the first week in April 2004.
The one with the Arm/Leg was at $2.44. I saw video on the evening news showing a CA SF Bay Area gas price sign at $3.01 but it looked like full serve...
