c900 - (1) Overall Design. Especially, excellent all around visibility and the fantastic upright wrap around windshield which makes the car a joy to drive especially through the twisties (no playing peek-a-around the A-pillar in left hand corners). Also, hood, hatch, and that sculpted from solid form not assembled construction look. The engine just looks fantasic the way it is positioned in the engine bay. All the details.
c900 - (2) Fun to drive--Great handling. And the fun-fun-fun comes without compromising functionality either. The grinning has to promote good health.
9000 - (3) Great long distance road car. Perfectly at home on the interstate and the back roads. Unfortunately this car wasn't appreciated by enough people. Still outclasses a significant number of the cars being built today.
Honerable mentions.
9000 - Great visibility from back seat. You can actually see down the road well as a passenger and enjoy the trip (I suppose you could argue this is covered by #3). I was reminded about this yesterday after riding in the backseat of a number of cars. The 9000 hands down winner.
All SAABs to date: Right now you sure have to appreciate the decent fuel mileage. Given the performance, saftey, and size of the car this is the frosting on the cake offered by the wonderful Turbo 4s.
The one that got away: SAAB 97 (Sonett III). A car I wanted from the time I was a little kid. Never owned one; never drove one.
