No service received = reversible charge Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Mon, 7 Jun 2004 12:50:19 In Reply to: Re: Did you pay the deposit by credit card?, TedP, Sat, 5 Jun 2004 05:33:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Dan, I repeat: "You have not yet received any service, so there is nothing that AAAdvantage can charge you for." From what you have stated, it appears that they have reneged on their side of the agreement.
This capability is one of the major advantages of paying for anything with a credit card, and why you pay for the service, either directly (annual fee and interest charges) or indirectly (increased prices to cover the merchant's fees). Don't even waste any more time calling the company, let the bank handle it - and A AAAdvantage will have to listen to them at risk of getting their credit card acceptance agreement cancelled.
Let us know how this turns out.
