Here in Northern Cali, our set up could not be more optimal. Our installation was rated to hopefully produce a constant 1,600 watts on a good clear sunny day, of which we get a TON! However, on clear sunny days, it's producing 1,900 watts. I ran three servers 24x7x356 and usually have another two on all day while I work and still there is 500-800 watts going back out to the grid. Lights are the biggest wasters of energy - they heat better than they light. Switching to those flourescent bulbs which they've got the color right on now, was a huge difference...
I cannot see how you could possibly use all that power, but maybe you'r drawing less than I am because of the difference in climate. We used to live in Rochester NY which is night and day compared to the amount of sunshine we get out here. However, I thank you for doing this! It's a fun science experiment and it's a real contribution to lowering our nation's dependence on foreign power sources through the use of technology! We have ours in for almost two years now and they still look brand spanking new.
Way to go!
