I agree with the last response that one thing i would avoid is a 900 automatic. There's nothing really wrong or horrible about it, just annoying to only have three speeds (i have two of them). I still have both two 900s and a 9000 and have been relly happy with all of them. 9000s tend to be a little bit more intensive on work and repairs, but the ride is nicer and you get more room for passengers and cargo. Whereas the 900 seems to be a simpler machine, holds together a little better.
my 9000 is daily driver, works well in winter, for me at least. price-wise...try ebay. I know many people don't like it but have spent about $4000 total between my three cars off of ebay ($900 for '91 900, $1100 for '92 900, and $2000 for my '93 9000)
let me know if you have questions about ebay...cause there are ways to do it so it is a pretty safe bet, but only if you know what you are doing
