I had a great deal of driving time with all cars at the event. Dover De does not have a hot bed of SAAB drivers let alone any Euro car. There were about 10 of us at the event.

Impressions:

Jetta 1.8 T Not bad, better with bigger wheels/tires

Acura RSX Dismal, nothing good to say

Mini / CVT handled well, CVT is odd Cooper S would have been the show stealer

Volvo S40 Non turbo was slow and mushy, T5 didnt seem to have over 200 hp, Interiors were by far the best in both cas

92x linear... save your money for a used 9-3
Aero... AHHHH! I loved this car w/turbo felt much different than the wrx I drove a few years back. I was disappointed in the interior, not up to saab standards in my opinion.


The best part is that my friend and I both got flagged as "too aggressive" early on... we were timng ourselves to see who was faster. 2 sec / cone penalty! I had the aero out about 10 times, the last time I got her up to almost 70 mph in one of the straight aways, then she broke free and skidded sideways. I was then given a "time out" and had to sit out a few laps... I then tried to get the mini up to 60mph on the straight... missed the turn and killed the cones.

I was done!

they still fed me and gave me the pen and hat... :) all in all a good time.
