Interesting move. I think this is much better than the 9-7x, simply because I think Subaru makes more intelligent vehicles than a glorified GMC truck. TBS, if the 9-7x sells, it will strengthen Saab's position and opportunity to develop further Saab models. At a time when GM Europe is struggling, it's not a bad thing to see Saab expand to other continents. If the 9-6x is truly different from it's Subaru stable mate, it will a better chance than the 9-2x which I don't think will have a big impact because of the close similarity to the WRX. Of course, if a more distinctive next generation 9-2x is in the works, as rumour wants it, it should be more successful. All in all, I believe the partership with Subaru is a good thing for Saab.
