Advertised lease is good baseline..... When Saab advetises a lease, they give it all away. The give away the car, all the incentives, and all the rate. To match the ad terms a dealer must discount the car very substantially, include all the incentives, not mark up the acquistion fee, and not mark up the rate.
Consult the SaabUSA website, it describes a $249 payment for 36 months and 12,000 miles per year with 1st payment, cap reduction, acquistion fee, for a total of $2,999 in drive offs. This is referenced to an MSRP of $27,120 which is a stick, non metallic color, 9-3 Lineaer with no options. The actual selling price to Saab Financial or this deal, known as the capitaized cost or cap cost is in the $22k range, as I mentioned a very good deal.
That's probably not the car you want, but it's very good terms all around. Work up from there.
For a car that lists for more you are leasing the difference and an extra $1,000 of equipment is only about $10 a month or less. The current July incentive/residual/program is very, very additional equipment friendly.
And less cash is rougly the amount divided by the term. $1,999 vs the advertise $2,999 in drive offs is a $1,000 difference divided by 36 = $27.77 plus a couple of bucks in interest or a little less than $30 per thousand. Same going up in cash drive offs, figure a little less than $30 per thou.
