Have had and used Flke meters for many years. They are not inexpensive, but are accurate and rugged.
I just bought a Fluke Model 112, it has AC, DC, Ohm, Frequency, and even a backlight on the display for those times you are in the dark (pun intended). Ther is also a Fluke Model 111 that is the same with out the backlight.
Cost at Sears or other suppliers is about $125 for the Fluke Model 111 and $140 for the Fluke Model 112.
