i don't have my ac hooked up either. sitting will not be nice...
i ran both routes in mapquest gathering distance between waypoints and the 84/81 route is another 100 miles or so. don't know if it's really worth it?
i plan on leaving at 4 am in boston. if i go 95, that would put me at gw bridge around 6:30-7 am. then i should be clear until baltimore which would be around 9:30-10 or so when i get there. dc in another 45 min or so and then i break west for the hills. or course, that's in a perfect world and avg speed of 80 mph.
i would drive through the night, but i will be in a campground and i know i won't get caught up on sleep...
it seems like a roll of the dice either way. take a chance with 95 and potentially make great time, or resign myself to the longer route and have a pretty firm estimate on when i should arrive.
i think the worst case on 95 would be to get held up long enough that i hit baltimore and/or dc rush hour in the evening. that would really make a horrible trip imho...
