Bob,
Been using a Bell trailer from Costco for the last two years with my boys. I usually take them out to the local off-road trail once or twice a month. Worked fine when they were younger but now being a couple years older and heavier, the clamp on the trailer can't hold as well and slides into my disc brake rotor if I'm not careful. Other than that, it has worked out great the last two years. You can just imagine the looks I get everytime I take the boys out on the trail from the hikers. Lots of double-takes and "I can't believe you can do that" comments from the hikers. The boys just love going out on the trail. Just make sure you buy a trailer with a protective full cover which most do. Without, your child will be eating your dust, literally. Good luck with your search.
