A Certified Pre Owned Saab minimizes much of the risk of remote car buying. CPO extends the Saab factory warranty for another 2 years and 50,000 miles to 6/100 total and also assures a more rigorous screening process. CPO also has cosmetic standrds, exterior and interior. CPO cars are posted to the Saab USA website, usually with a picture.
Of course sloppiness can happen in any situation, but with CPO your getting the car from a dealer who's familiar with the car in and out and is usually selling them side by side with new cars to compare to, so CPOs are generally in excellent overall condition.
The pure cost of the extended Saab factory warranty to the dealer is also minimal compared to warranties offered by aftermarket warranty companies so you need not neccessarily pay more for a CPO car. While you may find lower prices from off brand dealers and private parties, you may also find CPO prices very reasonable and you'll likely have a greater selection too.
There's no flat reason to reject a non CPO car from any source for the right price, but likely the car will be in warranty and you'll want to have it inspected by the local Saab dealer anyway.
