That's what an old boyfriend told me once. I've always loved cars. I'm no good at all at fixing them (I'm comfortable with tools and getting dirty, but not comfortable with the idea that I might end up disabling my ride due to lack of knowledge) but that doesn't stop me from appreciating the engineering, the design, and the thrill of the machine. Though I've been a Saab-lover since I was 19, and hope to never drive anything else, I have soft spots in my heart for 70s muscle cars...big bad V8s...dual exhausts...and I can even appreciate monster trucks. I'm the one that goes out and buys Car and Driver and leaves in the bathroom as reading material.
I definitely like seeing more posts from women. Makes me feel less like I'm invading some kind of boys club. I loved it when Saabgirlie posted "hugs" in response to my car woes. What other auto forum has girls posting like that?! She & I are e-mail buddies off this board, but sadly we live too far apart to hang out.
By the way, I hope to meet some of you at Swedish Car Day next month. I'm the one with the red Aero! ;)
