This is why VW, Packard and others opened plant in Mexico. I think Volvo has something in Singapor. I remember an article about T-shirt production, Cotton was grown in Georgia (US), was sent to a Central America country to be put in thread. Then was sent to South america to be dyed, then sent to China to make T-shirt and sent back to the US. All that was cheaper than to do the entire T-shirt process in the US!
Unless we are ready to pay more for our products, China and poor country's are going to have more and more goods to make. We are gaing to pay a good price for those items but the profits will be huge for the manufacturer and the "middle man". Some peoples in China are starting to form unions. I've read that there is about 16 000 deadly work accident a year!
One day peoples will understand that you cannot exploit human being like animals or machines. That they have also a life with family and they also want to have a good life. This is why we should consider starting buying "equitable" product (like coffee and chocolate).
