turn off XP firewall. Supposedly it does it on its own. Have a read here (linked below) at the Zonelabs tech support - questions 4-8 or so.
My own two cents is that XP SP2 runs well. I have no negative affects after my install. I even prefer its pop-up blocker to the Google one I had been using. It even picks up/stops the "Install software" pop-ups that I get that bypass the Google blocker, probably because they are not HTML/webpage requests.
I am running it on my HP AMD laptop in conjunction with a US Robotics wireless router with hardware firewall. Also I have Norton AV, although SP2 also has problems with some Norton products.
